![]() ![]() If you don't like that, this game might not be for you. There are 3+3+2+2 endings, some of which are NOT nice. Not as much as Negligee I'd think, but getting close-ish. Each story is fairly short, but with four of them, there's still a decent amount of content. The game is split into four entirely separate stories, one for each girl. Negligee: Love Stories doesn't fall into the same trap, though possibly because it has been simplified. Otherwise, again, it was pretty great all around. Punishing players by having an incomplete route just because they wanted to see the thing they (most likely) most wanted - porn - was NOT a good design. So there was a bad feeling of disconnect if you went that way first, and you probably did since. The discussions were often just slightly off since one person's dialog wasn't there, and a few key scenes for the plot didn't happen AT ALL. That in itself wouldn't be so bad, but this route was clearly not polished properly. ![]() You could end up masturbating in your office which means that you'd miss out on one of the three girls for the rest of the game. It doesn't seem like I made a review for Negligee, so in short it was a great game, but it had one glaring flaw. Uh, does that make it a prequel? Well, whatever. Negligee: Love Stories is a sequel to Negligee, though it happens before the previous game. Your mileage may vary greatly however, but I don't think I can get into those reasons in a short version. ![]() Unlike the previous game, this one is almost purely hetero-sexual.Īnd I have to say, I really loved this. Less porn-centric VNs could still benefit from the full potential of Steam exposure, while the adult content DLC would be free to download for everyone interested without the current kind of cryptic BS.This is pornography. Plus, it seems that all-ages + patch might still be a viable option, circumventing the "adult-only" categorization, but letting you place the 18+ patch as DLC directly on the platform. There will be a significant transition period, but I'd expect A LOT of people having 18+ content turned on after its over. I agree with the option being hidden God-knows-where, but if I remember well searches and clicking links to 18+ games give proper feedback ("we've hidden an n-number of games because of your search preferences"). The settings to enable seeing this content are off by default and pretty difficult to find, and if you don't have those settings enabled, Steam literally gives you a "that doesn't exist" page, not like an "are you sure you want to see this content" page, as far as I understand. but yeah, we unfortunately live in a very absurd world, otherwise we wouldn't even be talking about this.ĭamn, now you actually got me concerned as well. There are far more concerning topics that should be addressed instead of persecuting fiction. Then let's ban pretty much every video game ever. It's really stupid, because stating that a depiction of an illegal sexual relationship is a crime is equivalent to saying that a depiction of a murder should be illegal. So, in the end, I'm mostly just worried that I'm personally going to lose access to getting VNs legally rather that that it's going to bring some major problems. ![]() VNs probably exist because the industry is so small that nobody even knows about them, so the more exposure they get, the bigger is the possibility that they are going to be noticed by those who shouldn't notice them. Actually, in my country hentai is illegal for exactly the same reason, and quite a lot of sites that give access to it are IP-blocked. Technically, most 18+ VNs are set in high-schools, so the characters are supposed to be underage, even if they look like adults or it's explicitly said otherwise, so technically the whole VN industry lies in a somewhat legally gray area, especially in more conservative countries. I'm also a bit concerned with a certain other detail. Basically, I wanted to say, in an extreme situation that somebody decides to put Euphoria-like VN on Steam and it causes some mass freakout, the result could be pretty unpredictable, but, I guess, the possibility of that is very low. As a company, allowing VNs with adult content, considering they are for better or worse the majority of them, is hardly a bad business decision. ![]()
